If you are a school principal, checking KCSE results online is possible. You can download and print the KCSE results of your students using this procedure.
Open any browser on your computer.
Visit the KNEC online portal.
Log in to the portal using the username and password you provided during registration. If you are new to the portal, click on the registration tab to create an account.
Once you have logged in to the portal, you should search for the tab labelled From Index. You should then proceed to key in the index number of the first candidate.
In the box labelled ‘To Index Number’, key in the index number of the last candidate in your school. You should then proceed to click on ‘View Report’.
Select the format that you wish, either Word or PDF.
All the slips will be saved on your computer. You can proceed to print the slips.
Once all the slips have been loaded, you should click on the Export tab.
Checking KCSE result for an Individual Student
Getting KCSE results online is just a click away, thanks to technological advancement. The only requirement is a device capable of accessing the internet, preferably a smartphone. Then, simply follow the steps listed below on how to check KCSE 2022 results online for an individual candidate.
Launch the KNEC portal on your browser.
Click on the Results tab.
Select the year you sat for your KCSE exams from the drop-down list.
Enter your index number and press the submit button.

How to Get KCSE results via SMS
Accessing KCSE results using a text message charged Ksh25 for the service and only takes a few minutes. If you have a Safaricom, Airtel or Telkom line, you should follow these simple steps to access your KNEC KCSE results via SMS.
Type your Index number in the text message.
Send it to 20076. There should be no space between the index number and KCPE. For example, 00000000000KCSE.
You might be forced to wait for a few minutes before you get the results depending on the number of requests being made at that particular time.
How to Download Result Slips
You might find yourself in a situation where you must present your KCSE result slip, but you do not have a soft or hard copy. No panic is needed because you can easily download the slip from the KNEC portal. Here are the simple steps you should follow.
Log in to the KNEC portal and navigate to the Online Result Slip tab
Click on the Examination Results tab. Choose the KCSE exam and the year.
Then press the Download button.
